Meet Gertie the Ostrich...
Gertie was a bad idea... at least for the purposes of the greedy ad executives who had created her by committee.
After failed attempts at finding her place in the world, Gertie asks herself, "Is there no place for an idea that is bad?" but something happens when it starts to snow and Christmas is in the air.
It was a quarter past four on the seventeenth floor
of the Bigger-is-Better Department Store
when a team of gray suits started to yell.
"We need a gimmick that can sell, sell, sell, sell"
For hours they argued, squabbled, debated
then stopped for a look-see at what was created.
